General contractors and renovators with somewhere between 3 and 25 people, doing roughly half a million to five million dollars a year. Custom homes, renovations in houses people are living in, light commercial, and the specialty trades that bid a lot of work.

It is made for the owner who runs the jobs by day and does the books at night, and for the crew who need a daily log they can finish in the truck.

Software written for American contractors calls holdback retainage, charges one sales tax on the whole invoice, and asks for a workers’ comp insurance certificate where a Canadian builder has a clearance letter. Ridgepole starts from the Canadian rules instead: holdback by province, GST or HST beside PST, RST or QST, and your comp board by its name.

Ridgepole has no AI features, and that is a decision, not something we have not got to yet. Your costs, client details and financials are never fed to an AI model, ours or anyone else’s, for training or for features.

There are no third-party analytics and no advertising trackers on the site or in the app, and your data is not sold.
